Bienvenidos! Mi nombre es Carlos Iriarte Aguirre and I’m your PC President for the 2026-2027 school year. I was born in Cartagena and raised in Barranquilla, moving to Orlando in 2015. I’m a 4th year Health Science major on the pre-medical track. My roots have taken me to where I am today and for that I am eternally grateful. There is no day in which I am not proud of my country and the values that its culture truly represents. Please don’t hesitate to join our celebration, no matter where you’re from, and find out what our PorColombia community is all about.

My name is Dayanna Benavides and I am the Vice President of PC for this school year. I was born in Miami, Florida and my dad is Cuban and my mom is Colombian from Barranquilla. I am a 4-year student majoring in Public Relations with a minor in Spanish. This year I really want to hone in on the professionalism of PorColombia and make sure that we are creating leaders that feel empowered to take on any challenge that may come their way. I am eager to represent an organization that is a beacon of community for many students on campus. Espero conectar con todos pronto!

Hey!!! My name is Lucas, and I’m your current treasurer for the 26-27 school year! I was born in São Paulo, Brazil. I’m a fourth-year business major graduating next spring. I was introduced to PorColombia my freshman year, and I have made some of my closest friends at UF thanks to this organization. Over time, I’ve found myself falling in love with Colombian culture and the lovely people that call this place home. My goal this year is to serve as the backbone for this organization to grow and continue to be the home away from home for everyone regardless of their background. I'm a third year double major in psychology and criminology. I absolutely love my culture and love sharing it with others even more. My goal this year is to help make our organization feel like a home away from home for both new and returning members while continuing to share and celebrate our culture with the broader UF community. Hola! My name is Chris and I'm your VP of Marketing for the 2026–2027 school year. My mom is from Barranquilla and my dad is from Cartagena but I was born and raised in South Florida. I'm currently a 2nd year majoring in Advertising with a minor in Digital Arts and Sciences and Media Production, Management, and Technology. Creativity has always been my favorite way to connect with people so I'm excited to use marketing and design to showcase everything that makes PorColombia special. My goal this year is to create content that truly captures our community, celebrates our culture, and makes everyone feel excited to be part of our familia.

I was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, and moved to Miami, FL, when I was 11 years old. This club quickly became my home away from home, and I know we can continue giving that same beautiful gift to both returning and new members this year. I am determined to create numerous events and spaces where we can have fun, celebrate our culture, make new friends, and build memories that will last a lifetime. Vamos con toda!

Hola! My name is Luka and I’m your GBM Director for the 2026-2027 school year. Both of my parents are from Cartagena, but I was born and raised in Miami. I’m a 2nd year political science and criminology double major with a minor in public service. Last year, I served on the GBM team as a GBM Assistant, and I want to keep the energy flowing in my new role as Director. I hope to continue making fun, interactive, and educational GBMs with my team this year, as well as implementing a variety of new ideas to make our monthly meetings the best experience for YOU! PorColombia is my home away from home, and I’m glad to be giving back to it for all that it has given me.

I am a rising sophomore studying Psychology. My favorite things to do are going to the gym and dancing salsa (como buena caleña). I absolutely love meeting new people, hence why I was so eager to be part of the Cultural committee in PorColombia. My goal this year is to make each and every one of you guys feel a sense of family within PC. I am looking forward to meeting all of you and can’t wait for the upcoming year!
